GIRLS STEM Day at Hill College is a vibrant, hands-on celebration of science and math designed to inspire young learners to explore fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The 2025 event (which you can read about here) — held on Friday, March 7 at the Hill County Campus — welcomed nearly 80 students and 16 adults from partner school districts and homeschool groups. Participants engaged in a wide variety of STEM activities including biology, chemistry, computer and environmental science, physics and engineering, welding, 3D printing, Morse coding, chemistry experiments, ecology, and even crafted personalized DNA-strand necklaces.

With the support of guest partners from local organizations and sponsors like Lonestar Education and Research Network (LEARN), STEM Day provided a fun, immersive atmosphere that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and teamwork. By opening doors to STEM pathways and fostering early interest, the event underscores Hill College’s commitment to preparing future generations for careers in science, technology, and innovation — while welcoming all students, not just girls, to explore and learn.
